Some of the nation’s best known entrepreneurs have sympathised with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull for failing to sell innovation as the answer to Australia’s employment and productivity woes. Speaking at The Australian Financial Review’s Innovation Summit after Innovation Minister Greg Hunt sought to reposition the government’s innovation policy to embrace large established organisations, investors and start-up industry figures sympathised with the government’s struggles in getting support for its earlier start-up enthusiasm.
